City Hall and offices will be closed on
Monday, January 16th in Observation of

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Day.

City Parks, including the beach, will remain on the regular schedule, closing at dusk. Sanitation Services will continue to operate on their regular schedule. City Mini buses will remain on their regular schedule with some interruptions to service during the parade.

The City of Hallandale Beach and Hallandale Beach Community Civic Association invite you to the 35th annual Dr. MLK, Jr. Day Parade and Celebration on Monday, January 16th.

The fun filled day begins at 10am with a community parade from BF James Park to OB Johnson Park. Community groups and performers vie for the Best of Parade awards each year. 

The free, family-friendly Celebration kicks off at OB Johnson Park as soon as the parade is finished. Featuring food and community vendors, performances, City departments, and amusements; the Celebration is a not to be missed community gathering.

2023 PARADE ROUTE

There will be temporary road closures during the parade.  Please avoid the area, or better yet, come early for the best spot to enjoy the parade!

Westbound Hallandale Beach Blvd will be closed from NE 1st Ave to NW 8th Ave.  Eastbound traffic will not be affected.
The Railroad crossing at NW 3rd Street will be closed.
NW 2nd Avenue will be closed from Pembroke Road to Hallandale Beach Blvd.
NW 8th Avenue will be closed from Pembroke Road to Hallandale Beach Blvd.

The parade route will reopen when the parade is completed.  NW 8th Avenue from Pembroke Road to Foster Road will remain closed during the Celebration.  It will reopen at approximately 5pm.
