Rebecca Louko is a physical therapist and supervisor at the University of Vermont Medical Center. She specializes in neurologic rehabilitation. Her focus is treating patients with conditions such as brain injury, concussion, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), muscular dystrophy, movement disorders, Parkinson’s Disease, stroke, spinal cord injury, and vertigo. Rebecca specializes in LSVT BIG, a treatment for patients with Parkinson’s Disease delivered over numerous sessions designed to increase limb and body movement, serial casting, prosthetics, orthotic exams and prescriptions, wheelchair seating and mobility, falls/balance and geriatrics.Rebecca enjoys having the opportunity to work with patients to identify solutions to their mobility, balance other functional problems to enable them to return to doing the activities that are most important to them. She facilitates the stroke support group monthly and enjoys providing educational opportunities for stroke survivors and their families/caregivers.
