I chose to become a doctor, specifically a pediatrician, because I love working with young people. They are typically inquisitive, kind, uniquely interesting and full of all the potential in the world. It is rare that not at least one child will make me smile, laugh or otherwise leave me feeling better than before we met. I hope that with medicine I will be able to provide care that helps young patients to become and stay physically and mentally well enough to reach all of their amazing potential. I try to approach every patient interaction with kindness, understanding and openness with the goal to establish a relationship where patients and families feel comfortable asking questions, and confident in making informed medical decisions. My favorite patient populations are the really young ones (infants, toddlers and early school age). I also enjoy working with families on establishing reachable goals for weight management. Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family, read, travel and bake.
