I chose medicine because I started off as a nurse, and I felt like I could better impact my patients if I was more involved with their care. So being a nurse practitioner, I'm able to follow up with patients, be more involved in their day-to-day activities as far as teaching them more about health prevention and disease prevention. I'm most passionate about is seeing patients get actively engaged, letting them know they have to be the ones to take the reins and we are just part of that. I want them to know that I, as the provider, am going to give 110%. I'm constantly educating myself. I want to give them my listening ear, and I want to really try to engage with them in coming up with a plan of care.
