Following this approach, Dr. Fahrenbach aims to address the unique needs of each patient to speed their recovery time and optimize results. Dr. Fahrenbach grew up in a medical family on Chicago’s Northwest Side. His father, Donald, was an obstetrician, who delivered many of the people who now come to Dr. Gregory Fahrenbach for their orthopaedic problems. Dr. Fahrenbach became interested in orthopaedics while working in an orthopaedic clinic prior to attending medical school. Dr. Fahrenbach completed his Orthopaedic Residency and Internship at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago and is a founding partner of Northwest Orthopaedic Associates and Sports Medicine. He was elected by his peers to serve as the President of the Medical Staff at Resurrection Medical Center in 2012 and chaired the hospital’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery for 17 years. He continues to train physicians and physician assistants through AMITA Health Resurrection Medical Center. Dr. Fahrenbach and his family dedicate a considerable amount of time and resources to Misericordia, a home for more than 600 adults and children with developmental disabilities. Run by his wife’s aunt, Sister Rosemary Connelly, Misericordia’s world-class facility has been home to Dr. Fahrenbach’s brother-in-law for 35 years.
