Emily McGhee-Worsowicz, MD, is a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation specialist. Dr. McGhee-Worsowicz earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine in Kansas City, MO. She then went on to complete her internship and residency at the University of Missouri – Columbia. Dr. McGhee-Worsowicz specializes in inpatient rehabilitation, assisting patients with regaining function and control after surgeries, accidents, or damage done by chronic disease. She is an expert in helping her patients recover from stroke, orthopedic or musculoskeletal non-surgical injuries, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, spinal cord injuries, and spasticity. Dr. McGhee-Worsowicz is passionate about helping patients with physical limitations improve their quality of life. She accomplishes this by educating patients, prescribing therapy and other modalities, and providing equipment to further assist in their function. Her patient care philosophy is "Treat everyone how you would want to be treated,” she says. A native of St. Louis, Dr. McGhee-Worsowicz’s interest in medicine began when she experienced severe injuries as a student athlete at Hazelwood Central High School. While in medical school, she discovered the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. McGhee-Worsowicz states, “I love helping people regain function after an injury or adapt to their new ‘normal’ after a life-altering event. I also enjoy that there is time during the rehabilitation process to really get to know my patients on a more personal level.”
