Although, their food is good it is NEVER hot. Everytime we ask for the food to be very hot. However, it always comes out of the kitchen barely warm. After today we will NOT be returning again for lunch or dinner.
The Host makes the place...Tom? There is a Ciconte's near my house but this location is a little more like a restaurant. I have only been to this location (Woodbury area) a few times. Each time we have been here a host, who I think is named Tom, does a great job at greating people, finding the right seats, and for those few moments he manages to make you feel like you are the very most important person in the whole room. He brings back "the old school" way of service. The meals are yummy, as well as the pizza and sandwiches. The prices are little on the high side but I guess that's the way it is these days. For dinner they provide a lovely assortment of breads with dipping oil. They are very busy on Friday nights just like any other decent restaurant. My only complaint....the last meal I ordered was the Rosa...the flavoring of the meal was really good but the chicken that was in it had no flavoring whatsoever. I mean none. It was so bland that it took away from the flavoring of the sauce and veggies.
About 2 months ago we bought 2 pizzas both were burnt underneath. Then last week we ordered again and my husband ordered a cheese steak with fried onions. He found several onion skins in it. We would order all the time from ciconties but we have been disappointed lately.
My daughter gave me a slice of white pizza with bacon, tomato, spinach, and ranch (not sure of what cheese was on it), and it was DELICIOUS!! Also the white spinach, tomato, and broccoli!!! Will definitely be getting those from now on!!
The pizza is kind of bleck.... BUT their platters are very good. The buffalo chicken salad is AWESOME!!!!! only reason for 3 stars over 4 is that they are a "pizzeria" whose pizza is pretty generic. There are at least 3 much better pizza options in a 5 mile radius.
