Catherine V. Nguyen-Loh, DO

Growing up and caring for her diabetic mother, Dr. Nguyen-Loh views her mother as her first patient. It was her mother that instilled in their family the motto “Family First” and Dr. Nguyen-Loh believes that it was her calling to become a family physician. She selected to specialize in family medicine as it provides her the opportunity to serve as the first bridge between physicians and patients in health care. She views it as a great opportunity to help patients with nutrition, exercise and screenings to provide a platform to prevent chronic disease. As a physician, she views her role as an advocate for her patients through all aspects of life, mentally and physically. She places great importance in building long-term relationships with her patients and creating trusting relationships. As she states, “It is important to me to deliver the best care possible for my patients. It is a privilege that my patients allow me into their lives and I work hard to provide them with the care they deserve.” Dr. Nguyen-Loh attended Western University of Health Sciences where she obtained her degree as a doctor of osteopathic medicine. She went on to complete her residency at PIH Downey. She is fluent in Vietnamese and has knowledge of basic Spanish. Outside of her work life, Dr. Nguyen-Loh is dedicated to her family, friends and loved ones. She enjoys backpacking, visiting national parks, photography, playing the violin and cooking classic Asian dishes.
