The Wyoming Desperados is a club dedicated to the sport of mounted shooting. It is a family oriented sport with moms, dads, grandparents, and children of all ages. It blends such disciplines as barrel racing and reining with safe gun handling and marksmanship. It is one of the fastest growing equine sports in America. The team of horse and rider must ride a set course of barrels and cones while shooting black powder ammo at specified targets (balloons). It is scored on elapsed time plus penalties for missed balloons. We focus on family fun and togetherness as well as promoting good horsemanship and sportsmanship.
