Wylie House Museum is a historic house museum administered by the IU Libraries. The house was built in 1835 by Andrew Wylie, first president of Indiana University. The house is furnished as it might have looked in the 1840s when Dr. Wylie and his family lived there. The museum is open to the public and serves as a campus resource for classes from a variety of disciplines. Free guided tours are given on Tuesday - Saturday, 10am to 2pm; class tours, research visits, large group tours or tours outside of normal operating hours can be arranged by calling (812) 855-6224 or emailing the Wylie House using the linked form. Closed holidays and six weeks in winter (December to mid-January).
