History :

The Woodson Missionary Baptist Church was organized by members from the Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church in November 1910. On this date, twenty-two members asked to be dismissed by letter to join what is now the Woodson Missionary Baptist Church.

The church was located in the Morehead Community. It started its work by having services in a brush arbor.

In 1913, a plot of ground was given by the late Fannie Grundy heirs. Trees were sawed into lumber and the lumber was donated to the Church.

The Church was dedicated in 1914 to the Lord Jesus Christ and for his service.
