Character education remains an integral component of classroom instruction at Woodbine Elementary School. Based upon good character traits, staff members select students for monthly recognition, kindness awards and exemplary writing performance to display on the 

"Best of the Best Writing" wall. The school district works closely with a myriad of community organizations to reinforce positive family values and social skills that will result in a stronger educational foundation including Caring for Kids, Even Start and the Foster Grandparents program. Additional character educational programs include Character Counts, Second Step, ReBel anti-smoking club, Red Ribbon Anti-Drug activities. The Woodbine Parent Teacher Organization continues to thrive and grow stronger through various fundraising events, often in coordination with the 4-H. 

Daily announcements at Woodbine Elementary School begin with every student reciting the school's motto, "I am an achiever, I will achieve and I will be successful. I am self-motivated, self-disciplined and self-propelled." 

We challenge our students, staff and parents to become active participants in the quest for educational excellence. At Woodbine Elementary School, where there is, "Progress in the Making", our goal is to ensure a safe, creative, stimulating and caring environment that promotes self esteem, sound character, responsibility and respect for all.
