Wilson Elementary School

100 Bruno Lane
724-695-3300

Wilson Elementary School is located in the small, but quickly growing town of Imperial, Pennsylvania. Wilson School is part of the West Allegheny School District, not far from the Pittsburgh International Airport. Wilson School houses approximately 500 students in grades Kindergarten through Fifth.

One thing that is unique to the Wilson School and the other elementary schools in the school district is that each school has its own swimming pool. Students in first through fifth grades have swimming class once per 6-day rotation. In addition to swimming, other special areas include art, music, physical education, Spanish and computers. Instrumental band and chorus are available for interested students in fourth and fifth grades.

Wilson School has a computer lab with 30 workstations. Each classroom has a cluster of 4 workstations. Our library has a cluster of 20 computers also. All computers have Internet access and we use CompassLearning curriculum software as well as Internet sites. CompassLearning provides math and reading lessons on the computer which are directly correlated to what is being taught in the individual classrooms and is also correlated to the Pennsylvania State Standards.
