White Violet Center for Eco-Justice

1 Sisters of Providence
812-535-2930

We plan to grow a variety of leafy greens, salad greens, tomatoes, potatoes, green beans, peppers, eggplant, summer squash, winter squash, asparagus, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, apples, pears, and more.

Please keep in mind that actual harvest may vary from what is listed above! Factors such as weather, insects, and disease may affect anticipated harvests.

White Violet Center for Eco-Justice at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, IN, is a ministry of the Sisters of Providence. Our farmers' market program allows people in the Terre Haute, IN, area a way to purchase safe, organic vegetables and fruit during the growing season.

Our greenhouse and hoop house allows for early starts. Our orchards include antique apple, peach, pear, plum and cherry trees. We have a small apiary which provides us with raw honey. We also have a herd of alpacas and create handmade garments with their fiber. In addition, we have 343 acres of certified organic farmland.

Thousands of people visit every year for farm tours and environmental education programs. See our site for information about our Individualized Earth Sabbatical, Earth Retreats, internship programs, volunteer opportunities and events. We hope to see you soon!
