Few organizations do as much for as many as does the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce. It is not too much to say that the Chamber is involved in virtually everything of importance to tens of thousands of area residents.

It won't be possible to detail them all. That would take days. The Chamber's programs run the gamut from the Partnerships in Education project that helps dozens of schools to a strategic plan for community development.

Chamber programs help entrepreneurs get started in business. They help existing stores and plants remain competitive. They aid working men and women by battling for reasonable taxes and economic development. They spur tourism through programs such as the City of Lights and the annual Fantasy in Lights parade. They develop leadership for both young people and those in business, through excellent training programs. They encourage government leaders at the local, state, and even national levels to maintain the infrastructure that attracts new business and helps area residents.
