West Central Early Childhood Center, located in Media, IL. Three Pre-Kindergarten classrooms are currently serving 60 children who are 3 to 5 years old. Our Parents as Teacher (PAT) program offers weekly story time and playgroup for all children. The PAT program assits with family fun nights and sponsors a monthly breakfast club at the Henderson County Library. The PAT program offers personal playdates and a variety of resources for parents of young children. The West Central Early Childhood Center believes that all students can enjoy success in school and that every student's individual needs will be met. All students will learn at their own developmental level with developmentally age appropriate experiences focused on language and literacy skills. We also believe that family, school and community should be united as one, and communication is a vital component in the success of our program. We will all grow, learn and have fun together as teachers, students and families.
