Warrenton Bible Fellowship

46 Winchester Street
540-349-1338

Warrenton Bible Fellowship had its beginning in 1978 in a small Bible study at the farm of Guy and Leslie Farley. One of our current Elders, Richard Ashby, was among those in that original group. As the group grew, Guy Farley, who had served in the legislature of Virginia, had speakers who played significant roles in Washington DC and various Christian leaders. The result was a continuing growth in attendance. Ultimately, the church was formed and its size required the use of various schools and centers.

The name "Bible Fellowship" can be traced back to a movement started by Gene Getz of Dallas, TX. The current organization of the church and its various "Home Fellowships" are very typical of the Bible Fellowship movement. Down through the years, an emphasis on grace has become very central in the theology of the church and its ministries. In 1991, WBF purchased a historical church building, built in 1912, which has served our needs very well.

The vision of the Mission's Ministry at Warrenton Bible Fellowship is to help bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to peoples and places all around the world and to show the love of Christ through these brothers and sisters whom God has called to a special work.

We have been able to increase our support of missionaries and ministry groups each year for the past several years, and our hope and prayer is to see that support continue to grow.

We also hope to become more involved in sending short-term and long-term missionary teams from within the Warrenton Bible Fellowship body as God calls.

We celebrate our Mission's Ministry and our missionaries every year for the whole month of February with special visits from those we support and special speakers who have a heart and a passion to see the world reached for Christ and His name lifted up and glorified!.
