Wadena-Deer Creek Public Schools District is a school with approximately 625 students in grades 7-12. Our school building was built in 1965 with a major remodeling and addition completed in 1992. WDCHS is located on a scenic 50 acre campus in Southwest Wadena just North off of Minnesota highway 29. Our staff is student-centered and works diligently for student success.

The students and staff at Wadena Deer Creek High School work to build upon the tradition of academic excellence that has always been a part of our school. Our BST, MCA, and ACT test scores are consistently at or above state average in the core subject areas. Wadena Deer Creek High School has a comprehensive curriculum and elective program. WDCHS has an extensive concurrent college program with 9 college courses offered totaling 26 college credits through Minnesota State Community and Technical College. Our goal is to expand the program to provide students a year of college level rigor and credits. "Senior to sophomore" is the programs goal.

Our students not only excel academically but are also proficient in school activities. Wadena Deer Creek High School has over 40 athletic, fine arts, and leadership programs for students to participate in. We continually look for ways to provide opportunities for all students to be successful in an inviting school environment. The staff at Wadena Deer Creek High School is committed to doing its best to help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
