Vernfield Elementary is located on a 38 acres site in Franconia Township on Long Mill Road. The building opened in the fall of 2003 and is a two-story structure featuring classrooms in six-pod groupings. Each pod consists of classrooms located around a common area. This state-of-the-art building boasts wireless technology, a multipurpose room with a movable wall providing a variety of uses for the gymnasium/auditorium/cafeteria and a beautiful library with a vaulted ceiling.

Inside the school, the caring and respectful community of learners is what makes Vernfield special. Teachers, staff, and parents work closely together to provide the best possible school environment for the students.

Our rich language arts curriculum provides students with the opportunity to grow as readers, writers, speakers and listeners. The Everyday Math curriculum provides students with a rigorous approach to learning math, and all subject areas have been aligned with Pennsylvania Academic Standards. The Vernfield Faculty has high expectations, believes that all children can learn, and celebrates students’ accomplishments.
