About Us:

The Vermilion Local School District operates three school facilities. They are Vermilion Elementary School (grades K-3), Sailorway Middle School (grade 4-7) and Vermilion High School (grade 8-12).

We are very proud of our school programs that enhance the lives of learners of all ages. There are valuable programs that assist parents raising their infants, full day - every day Kindergarten, high quality classroom instruction, college level courses taught in our high school, and adult education classes for mature citizens to earn their GED.

Notable, is our district's EFFECTIVE rating on the district report card issued by the Ohio Department of Education for K - 12 instruction. Vermilion High School has again earned the distinction of an EXCELLENT rating, the highest possible ranking, on the state report card. These academic accomplishments reflect well on our hard working students and dedicated school staff. Further, we are proud recipients of the "What Parents Want" award, given to only the top 15% of all school districts in the nation.
