Sedgwick Public Schools, USD 439 is a comprehensive kindergarten through twelfth grade, state accredited school system in Sedgwick, Kansas. The student population is slightly over 545. The teacher student ratio is roughly 1 to 18. There are 38 certified teachers on staff, four full-time administrators, and 20 classified personnel. The entire kindergarten through twelfth grade population is housed in two buildings on one campus. The school system has an extensive networked computer system, with computers and internet access in every classroom, four student labs, and an interactive television classroom which allows for students to take college courses during the school day from Hutchinson Community College. All sophomore, junior, and senior students are issued their own wireless Apple iBook to use for the entire school year. Additional laptop carts are available for students to use throughout the district.
