About Us:

Unitarian Universalism is a covenantal religion. This means that agreements of relationship, not creed, define our faith; our love and respect for each other extend "beyond belief."

Our individual beliefs vary from one another, and no one is required to subscribe to a particular faith statement. Instead, we concern ourselves with our actions in the world and how our individual beliefs inform them.

The UU movement formed when the Unitarian and Universalist denominations merged in the 1960s. Since then, it has evolved into a tradition that embraces wisdom from many religions and humanist traditions as well as personal faith journeys that are not described by any of those labels. The late Rev. Forrest Church said, "One Light (Unitarianism) shines through many windows (Universalism), illuminating human minds and hearts in many different ways."
