Too often churches allow themselves to become ingrown, focusing their attention, energies, and resources upon satisfying their own aspirations for comfortable Christianity.

We are committed to being an others-centered congregation, rather than being self-centered. Our desire is to discover individuals' needs in the community around us and get involved with God in meeting those needs.

While sincerely interested in meeting the practical and felt needs of people in the community of which we are a part, we are praying and looking for opportunities to help people come to a personal turning point in their lives -- at the cross of Jesus.

We have learned that when confronted with the reality of God's love expressed through the sacrificial death of his Son, Jesus, a person must either decide to accept or to reject his offer of forgiveness and eternal life.

We are firmly committed to helping people toward choosing life, and all of the accompanying blessings of a deeply personal relationship with God.
