About Us:

Pennsauken Township is a Township Committee form of government. Residents of Pennsauken elect the five members of the governing committee to staggered three-year terms. The Township Committee selects the mayor and deputy mayor from its ranks to serve one-year terms.

Current Mayor Rick Taylor and Deputy Mayor Jack Killion serve along with Committeeman Bill Orth, Committeeman John Kneib and Committeeman John Figueroa.

Administrator Ed Grochowski oversees the day-to-day operations of the town.

The Public Works Department serves as liaison to the Waste Management Group, the contractor responsible for two waste pickups and one recycling pickup each week. Yard debris (bagged leaves, grass clippings etc...) is picked up once a week throughout the year.

Comcast Channel 19, our public access station, keeps residents informed about community and school events. The editor of the monthly newspaper is a former news reporter who keeps the community informed with a broad scope of articles.

The Business Industry and Government or (B.I.G.) Council, serving as the local chamber of commerce, keeps our 1,200 businesses informed and provides networking opportunities for businesses owners and leaders.

The township owns the award-winning Pennsauken Country Club and golf course, which is open to the public.
