Bethlehem Township was formed in 1730, and its first Township Committee was organized in 1763. It covers 21.38 acres in northwest Hunterdon County, which is in western New Jersey. The northern half of the Township lies in the Musconetcong River Valley, while the southern half is covered by the Musconetcong Mountains
