Camp Vigilance, home for the Minutemen Corps of CA since 2006, is located 2.5 miles from the border fence in Boulevard. With more than 2,500 members in CA, the organization has established a long-held reputation of working within the law and assisting the Border Patrol in making thousands of arrests by observing and reporting illegal drug and people traffic. They have logged more than 150,000 man-hours without a single injury to anyone or a single reportable incident.

On July 4th, a large 4 day event open house event was held. "This event marks the first time that a large coalition of Pro-American sovereignty groups have worked together to organize an event" stated Chelene Nightingale, Media & Events Director for Save Our State. "We look forwarding to connecting with other Americans who are concerned about our borders and celebrating our nation's birth." Present were guests like Duncan Hunter, his son and many other local state and county congressional representatives supporting the Minuteman.
