The Mental Health Association in Waukesha County, Inc. (MHA) provides free counseling, education, advocacy, and crisis intervention services.

Community Prevention Education: Provides education regarding wellness and mental illness through free Video L:ending Library, Dial Harmony telephonic messages, Speakers Bureau, Youth Peer Educators, and website.  See mhawauk.org for listings.

Mobile Crisis: Licensed Clinical Social Workers are available evenings, weekends, and holidays to assist with mental health crises in Waukesha County.  All service begins with a telephone call.  Access Mobile Crisis by call 2-1-1 from a landline telephone or 262-547-3388 from a cell telephone. Caller must provide name and telephone number to receive call from Mobile Crisis.

211/First Call For Help Helpline provides 24/7 crisis intervention, emotional support,  social service information and referral to Waukesha County residents. Access 211/First Call For Help by dialing   2-1-1 from a landline telephone or 262-547-3388 from a cell telephone, 24/7. Counseling Center provides short term, free, anonymous counseling by masters degreed volunteers.  No court ordered counseling. Community Outreach provides assistance accessing resources,
assistance with social service appointments, counseling in office or in home.  Peer Support provides telephone support from people recovering from mental illness to individuals with mental heatlh issues.
