Since 1957, we have proudly housed all of the arts under one roof. From ballet and watercolor classes to music lessons and theatre, The Fine Arts Association has educated thousands of students in the arts. Dedicated to bringing quality arts education and programming to Lake County and beyond, a plethora of concerts, dramas, dance performances, musicals, art exhibits and guest performers have graced the organization's stage and gallery. At a time when arts education is being phased out of many institutions, The Fine Arts Association, operating the School of Fine Arts is dedicated to keeping the flow of imagination, creativity and expression flourishing.

Study in the Fine Arts remains an important ingredient in any chosen field, and The Fine Arts Association is committed to offering exemplary instruction in this area. We provide an environment for the creation, performance and celebration of the arts. We reach out to the community, soliciting their needs and incorporating them into both our curriculum and our performance season. Our professional faculty has been consistently lauded for quality in visual art, dance, theatre and music instruction. Such talent and commitment have enabled us to grow into the nationally recognized cultural center that we are today, with classes offered to individuals of all ages, backgrounds and ability levels.

How We Keep the Doors Open and the Lights On...
The Fine Arts Association is a private, non-profit organization that relies on the support of our friends, alumni, students and parents - people like you. We are dedicated to being "Your Center for Arts Education" by providing arts education and performance opportunities for all ages and skill levels. Your contributions to the annual fund, scholarship programs, endowments and special projects make it possible for us to continue to bring you the highest quality arts experience. It is your support that provides over 47% of the funds not covered by tuition and ticket sales, that are needed to keep the doors open and the lights on.

An Investment in the Community
In 1957, founders James and Louise Savage saw a need in the community - a yearning for a richer cultural and artistic education. They and a growing staff of instructors and volunteers nourished what is now a learning institution with more than fifty faculty members representing all of the arts. Disabled and economically disadvantaged students attend many of the programs at no cost. In addition, we support gifted and lower-income students through annually awarded scholarships made possible by United Way funds. The Fine Arts Association continues to invest time, money, education and hope in the growth of the community.
