10 1/2 Years of helping youth and families in our community. Helping youth and adults change their lives through positive and educational programs. Helping them get off of drugs and becoming positive role models to others. We leave them with life long skills that they carry through out life. We are a non-profit organization since 2006 and have opened a for profit Impact Thrift Shop  in Shepherd, Tx, that helps us raise funds to do more activiites, programs and events for youth. I Brenda Myers started this organization from my back yard to give the yoth something to do and 10 years later we are still making a Impact. We depend on so many amazing contributors and sponsors to make this organzation work. I depend on the amazing volunteers who have been by my side giving of their heart and time for years. No one in this organization gets paid. YOU DO IT FROM THE HEART!!

We are extremely proud of our accomplishments winning the 2010 Halliburton Home Town Hero Award, 2014 Highest Honor Community Service award presented by Shepherd Masonic Lodge. We have a Zero's to Hero's Program that encourages our yout and adults to participate in making a difference in our community and educate them on life long skills.

We are proud to have the support of our community who makes contributions to our Thrift Shop daily. All the proceeds go right back out into the community except for our monthly over head. We are about community and the children.

We host a Annual event call Hug-A-Tree/Kiss-A-Fish Youth 3 day Adventure a completely free event for poverty related families. 6 years ago during our first year we took 70 participants and this past year in 2014 we had 868 participants. we host it every May. There is no other event like this in the State of Texas. READ ABOUT HOW ONE LITTLE BOY WHO WANTED TO GO FISHING AND COULDNT BECAUSE HIS DAD COULDNT AFFORD TO TAKE HIM AND HIS 4 OTHER SIBLINGS. HE inspired us all.

If you would like to learn more please visit our web-site www.impactcenter.vpweb.com or our event FB page under 6th Annual Hug-A-Tree. Dont worry we are not a environmental group the name comes from lessons taught by Boy & Girls Scouts. They teach you if you get lost in the woods or away from home to HUG A TREE and STAY IN ONE STOP. This could save your life.
