The Church of the Transfiguration

9 Bay View Drive
508-255-1094

The Church of the Transfiguration is a contemporary expression of an ancient fourth-century style of architecture -- a heritage shared by all Christians. Constructed of Minnesota limestone, it features a long rectangular nave, a rounded apse at the east end, narrow side aisles, a peaked timber roof, and interior columns and arches along the side aisles.

The Church stands at the spiritual center of the Community of Jesus, an ecumenical Christian community in the Benedictine monastic tradition on the shores of Cape Cod Bay. Worship services include Holy Eucharist, Liturgy of the Hours (sung in Gregorian chant), and Choral Evensong.

The Church combines hand-crafted mosaics and frescos, sculpted bronze, stone, and glass, to proclaim God's word with truth, beauty and dignity.
