The Church in Corvallis Oregon welcomes you!

The church in Corvallis, Oregon warmly welcomes you. We are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who have personally received Him as our Savior. He is the most excellent and enjoyable Person. We love Him and endeavor to give Him the first place in all things. We rejoice to be cleansed by the blood of Jesus, God’s Son, born again of the Father’s divine life, and filled with the Holy Spirit.

We highly treasure the Holy Bible as God’s revelation of Himself and of His eternal purpose. We hold the common faith which is revealed in the Bible and is common to all genuine believers.

As is true of all believers in Christ, we are members of His one Body, the church. In order to practice the oneness of the Body with all the Christians in Corvallis, we meet as the church in Corvallis. We are in fellowship with thousands of local churches worldwide to express the one Body of Christ.

History

Christians began meeting as the church in Corvallis when a couple of families living here saw something of the vision of the local churches while visiting churches in nearby cities. For many years the church consisted of this core of families; in addition, other members who came to Corvallis to attend Oregon State University met with the church while they were in college, but moved away once they had finished their education.

In the early 1990s, the small core of believers here began to seek the Lord more desperately to be revitalized by Him. These gatherings, once rather routine, have developed a very special intimacy among the believers in which the Lord has had a way to heal the believers’ inward parts. As this healing and vitalization progresses, slowly but steadily more families are entering into the fellowship of the local church.

As a result of this revival, a renewed commitment to care for the students at OSU has emerged. A full-time work with the college students has gradually developed, with a meeting hall for church gatherings one block away from campus, and daily care provided for the students.
