About Us:

The Center of Concern is a not-for-profit agency offering social services to individuals living in the northwest Chicagoland area.

Our primary objectives are to assist those in crisis and follow up with supportive services, and to provide support for the homebound elderly and disabled to help them retain their independence.

Financial support for The Center of Concern comes from individuals, local organizations and businesses as well as the United Way, the Park Ridge Community Fund, the cities of Park Ridge and Des Plaines, Maine and Norwood Park Townships, and many corporations and charitable foundations. Program support also includes grants from AgeOptions (the Suburban Area Agency on Aging), the Illinois Department of Human Services and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

In a typical year, over 12,000 individuals contact The Center for assistance.

The many services provided by The Center of Concern make a real difference in the quality of life for many in the community and are furnished without regard to age, sex, disability, race, national origin or financial status.
