Telford Volunteer Fire Company

400 West Broad Street
215-723-4428

The Telford Volunteer Fire Company, located about 35 miles northwest of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, was incorporated in 1903 to provide fire protection to the residents of Telford Borough.

Today, over 100 years later, the volunteer members of the Telford Fire Company proudly serve over 10,000 residents.

In 1996 a 20 hp Eagle Baron II air compressor and SCBA bottle fill station was added to the fire station. This unit supports Special Service 75 by allowing us to refill the unit's air cascade system quickly in house, as well as allowing us to support our neighboring companies by filling their SCBA bottles in a non emergency situation in station.

In 1998 the Company added a Onan Cummins powered 80 kw generator to the station. The unit includes a load bank and sound attendant cover to keep it from disturbing our neighbors. This unit is capable of supplying enough electricity to run the entire station giving the Company the ability to continue to provide the residents of our community with uninterrupted emergency service and assistance in the event of any kind of power outage or natural disaster.
