Star United Methodist Church
The Methodist Episcopal Church South was formed in 1845. In 1939, the Methodist Episcopal Church, The Methodist Episcopal Church South, and the Methodist Protestant Church were united.
In 1968, The United Methodist Church was formed from the major Methodist Church organizations and the 1946 union of the Evangelical and United Brethren Churches.
