St. Paul's Lutheran Church is a Christian fellowship growing in the
understanding of God' Word and love, preparing people for Christian
witness and service.

St. Paul's Lutheran Church considers its founding date as 1849, just two years after the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod was organized. Its roots go back to the 1830's when Lutherans and Reformed worshipped at St. John's Church in East Eden.

After building a church on East Eden Road, and another on Nelson Drive, the congregation built a white frame Church and parsonage on the corner of Sisson Highway and North Boston Road in 1879.

Our present brick Church in the Gothic style was built on the same site in 1931 with an education Building added in 1957. St. Paul's operated a Parochial School from 1853 until 1918. The Sunday School was established in 1917.

In its history, St. Paul's has been served by sixteen Pastors, starting with Rev. J. Adam Ernst, who was Pastor from 1849 until 1857. The longest Pastorate was that of Rev. Louis D. Zimmerman, serving from 1915 to 1950.

St. Paul's helped establish congregations in Middleton, Ontario, and the following locations in New York State - Rochester, Boston, Otto, Olean, Ashford and Plato.
