St. John's began a Christian Pre-School in the fall of 1983. The Pre-School continues to serve children ages 3 and 4. The program is designed to meet academic, motor skills, music, and spiritual needs of the children.
In the summer of 1995 three crosses were erected on the "hill" on St. John's property overlooking Route 47. These crosses are of different heights and sizes (the largest 30 feet high with the arms stretching 15 feet across), and they are set at angles to each other. They have become a meaningful "statement" to the Woodstock community of God's love in Christ, and serve as a symbol for St. John's.The Lord has blessed us richly! May He continue to bless us with all we need as we seek to know and do His will at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Woodstock, Illinois.
