About Us:

The Arts Council's purpose is to encourage and develop the arts by creating public awareness of county arts activities; to work for common goals in the interest of community art development; to sponsor meetings, exhibits, workshops, cooperative displays, art shows; and to aid individual members in their efforts to create art awareness and activities in the St. Charles County region.

History:

The St. Charles County Arts Council began in 1979, formed by a group of local citizens to promote a concert performed by the St. Louis Symphony on the St. Charles riverfront. The group remained active in advocating for local artists and art groups. During the 1980’s the organization grew and developed many of the programs and principles that are now in place.  Over the years, the organization has continued to meet our goals of community outreach and awareness, nurturing emerging artists and promoting arts development.
