Smithville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a gathering of sinners with God’s grace our sole hope of salvation, take as our mission of stewardship to the Lord Jesus Christ: the spreading of the Good News, the shepherding of His flock, the loving of our neighbors, and the recognition that our neighborhood is the world.

We pledge ourselves to a goal of caring, nurturing, prayerful service to our own and to our community at large, teaching ourselves the word of God both at home and in church and trying to teach others by an example of lives led as Christ commanded. In keeping with these Bible-based ideals, we accept as our obligation the development of programs designed to benefit each person reached by our ministry.

Knowing we must forgive others their trespasses because God has forgiven our own, we offer communion to other believers and strive to be inclusive instead of exclusive, facing outward more than inward, building bridges rather than walls between ourselves and all who accept – as well as all who still need to accept – Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
