Shoving Leopard Farm

845 River Road
845-758-9961

CSA members come by the garden once a week to pick up their share of what is ready to eat from the garden. Shares include greens, peas, radishes, and spring onions in the spring (asparagus and rhubarb soon), greens, cucumbers, summer squash, tomatoes, early leeks, garlic, corn, herbs, mellon, herbs, and okra in the summer; more greens, potatoes, jerusalem artichoke, winter squash, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, leeks, and herbs in the fall (raspberries next season!). Cut flower shares are also available for $125 for the season.

The garden is located on a 400-acre historic Hudson River Valley farm. We grow mixed vegetables, berries, and cut flowers for a small CSA and farm stand, and have a PYO flower labyrinth. We also have laying hens, the eggs from which are sold to CSA members and at the stand. Our agricultural practices do not include the use of any chemical fertilizer or pesticide/herbicide; only composted animal manures, compost, rotation and manual squishing are used.

A volunteer program is currently being established linking the farm to nearby Bard College, and unpaid internships are available from May through October.
