Sheridan Stables opened in August of 2008.  The facility offers spacious 12 x 12 walnut stained stalls with overhead fans and recessed lighting.  A wash stall with hot and cold water is available with a climate controlled tack room, and bathrooms.  Our grounds feature a large riding ring with a full set of various jumps, a round pen, and an observation/judging booth.  There are many miles of trails to explore along with green open pastures.  Our barn is a family-friendly setting where we strive to keep a peaceful environment for all to enjoy.  

We offer hunter and western riding lessons, boarding, and horse camps.  Clinics are held periodically for special topic instruction.  Please visit our website calendar for dates and times. 

Sheridan Stables participates in a variety of show series throughout the year. We attend VHSA and 4-H Horse Shows. In May our students will participate in the Keswick Show, and in the Deep Run Horse Show in June.  In the fall we will attend the Virginia State 4-H Horse/Pony Show and the Virginia Horse Show Association Finals.  In addition, our students and horses attend the VA State Fair Horse and Pony Show in September where our 4-H students compete in a drill team performance.

Sheridan Stables is owned and operated by Paul and Cameron Sheridan. Paul built the barn in 2008 and works hard to maintain the premises. He keeps the horses supplied with hay, grain, and water, as well as keeping everyone laughing with his silly sense of humor. Cameron spends her time with the students, parents, and the horses. She enjoys watching the students grow in their riding skills and equine knowledge. She provides the lesson scheduling and also works to keep the barn running smoothly.
