School Administrative Unit 39

1 School Street
603-673-2690

The schools of the Amherst, Mont Vernon, and Souhegan Cooperative School Districts are administered under School Administrative Unit 39. The administrative teams from all three districts work with the superintendent's office to insure common educational goals and consistent quality. One major focus is implementation of the "Continuous Quality Improvement" process which encourages a pro-active approach to problem solving and empowers each staff member to improve the school system. Along with providing school board services and a centralized resource for purchasing, payroll, personnel, facilities, and budget management, the Office of the Superintendent is the gateway for information passing between schools, school boards and the public.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of SAU 39 is to help prepare our students for success in their future lives as productive citizens and life-long learners by providing appropriate opportunities as a professional learning community to foster the fulfillment of each child's potential.

VISION

The schools of SAU 39 are recognized for the excellence of education they provide to learners of all abilities. A culture of "attaining full potential" and a focus on student learning pervades the student body, faculty, support staff, and administrators. Collaboration and collegiality, trust and respect, and a commitment to shared learning characterize the faculty's work. All members of the school community feel physically safe and emotionally secure in their schools. High school graduates are accepted by colleges and universities commensurate with their academic and overall achievements. The community takes great pride in the achievements of its students and supports the schools by funding budget and capital requests and by generously donating their time, money, and other resources to the schools.
