Who We Are :

We are a people covenanted together to glorify God by treasuring His Son above all things and by spreading the joyful worship of Jesus Christ to all nations.

Sardis Baptist Church was formed originally in 1803.

We are a self-governing congregation that exists to help others know God through Christ.

We serve in friendly cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Georgia Baptist Convention and the Hephzibah Baptist Association for the purpose of sending missionaries, training ministers and equipping local churches for the evangelization of the world.

The Word of God, as handed down to His Holy Apostles, is our foundation. Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God and atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world, is our Chief Cornerstone.

We are living stones being built into a holy dwelling for the Living God.
