The Sandusky Bay Rowing Association (SBRA) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. We are a group of dedicated rowers in the Sandusky Bay area who want to improve the community awareness of the benefits of rowing.  We strive to promote the sport of rowing in Erie County by providing rowing opportunities and activities to all adults and to develop into a competitive and robust organization.

Rowing season is from May 1 through September.  No experience is necessary and there are co-ed teams.  The sport of rowing allows members of the community to enhance their health through exercise, create bonds between other members by participating in unarguably the ultimate team sport, while also enjoying the nature aspects the Sandusky Bay have to offer. In the future, we plan to create a program for high school students, welcoming all ethnicities, promoting a rewarding, exciting sport to youths that need a channel for healthy growth.

We focus strongly on safety and require that all members view a Safety Video before participating and learn the requirements to keep themselves and everyone else safe on the water.  SBRA will educate members in rowing and public water safety, and promote leadership through various officer, coach, captain, and volunteer positions. SBRA is a member of USRowing.

We believe SBRA satisfies a great need for diversified recreation in our area. The positive response and enthusiasm we have received has been gratifying and a catalyst for us to continue our mission.
