The San Carlos School District shall provide an innovative and engaging learning experience that fosters the development of the Whole Child to ensure all students are well prepared for success in the 21st Century, as evidenced by:

About Us:

The San Carlos School District (SCSD) is a public Pre-K to 8th grade school district located in San Carlos, California serving over 3,300 students.  The school district serves the vast majority of the students within the city of San Carlos, a town of just under 30,000 residents, located approximately midway between San Francisco and San Jose.  San Carlos has for years been a magnet for families attracted by the small town atmosphere, desirable location, and excellent schools. 

The district has seven K-8 schools, including 2 middle schools, 4 elementary schools, and 1 K-8 charter school.  In addition, SCSD is designing and building two new school facilities to serve grades 4 and 5.
