Salisbury Elementary School is located in rural Lancaster County. Our school is surrounded by beautiful Amish farmland.  We are proud of our school and school district. Our nearly 360 students come from the surrounding towns of Gap, Narvon, and Honeybrook.

Students attend Kindergarten through 6th grade before transitioning to our intermediate school. This is our second year of implementing a 1:1 Technology initiative, where students K-4 are assigned iPads, and students in 5th-6th grade are assigned Apple laptops.  We continually strive to reach our mission in proving that each student counts through our daily encouragement and support as we work toward meeting each student's individual needs.  Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment where parents and teachers work cooperatively to maximize their child's success... Kids come first at Pequea Valley.

Our enthusiastic teaching staff at Salisbury Elementary School meet the individual needs of each student whole group and small group learning experiences. Over the last several years, we have gradually been introducing PA's Core Standards to our curriculum and will be in full implementation for the 2014-15 school year.  These standards offer a set of rigorous, high-quality academic expectations in Communicative Arts and Mathematics.  Salisbury Elementary also integrates Title 1 supports in order to provide extra support for reading and math instruction for all students to work toward meeting state standards.  We follow the State endorsed Response to Intervention model for instruction.

Our students combine academic studies with social learning. We use common guidelines to create a school-wide focus; we show respect to self, others, and the world around us. These areas of focus create a learning environment that encourages good choices and consideration for all.
