Vision:

Sharing, Caring, Proclaiming the Love of Jesus Christ.

Mission:

Sharing our gifts in support of others' work:

On the international level we support three missionaries: George and Nancy Callister and Mike and Darla Berg for $240 each a quarter and Dawn Crowther for $360 a quarter, as well as sending $25 a month to an Ethiopian woman for school costs and 40-50 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.

On the national level we support Red Bird Mission in Kentucky with General Mills Box Tops for Education; Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia with canceled stamps, lap robes and baby caps; Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia with soda tabs and the Methodist Home for Children in Philadelphia with Campbell's labels. We are considering a shift from Red Bird to Henderson Settlement, which is actually a ministry of Red Bird.

Locally we support the Terre Hill Food Bank as needed. We are considering, along with the trustees, the use of the sexton house for an outreach known as Homes of Hope. We recently participated as a group representing St. Paul's in the Walk for Life in support of Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services. There is also some interest in Meals on Wheels and Water Street Rescue Mission for some more hands-on involvement.

Outreach:

Proclaiming God's love to our community:

On November 4th, 2006 we had a bazaar to raise money for local and national outreach. Profits will eventually go to Katrina relief, Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services, and Praise Club in Terre Hill. Later in the year, we plan another Thanksgiving Day dinner, more Movie Nights and more Game Nights. Next year look for a Kite Flying Day in March, a Bide Rodeo in May, a trip to a Barnstormers game, soccer camp in June and more.

Nurture:

Caring for our own church family:

In addition to regular worship, Bible Studies, Circle Round, a Helping Hands Ministry organized by Floyd Parmer and general caring for ailing members with flowers, meals and visits, we are looking into a monthly fellowship meal to be shared with shut-ins and more involvement of lay members in taking communion to shut-ins. Members are encouraged to share any ideas, opinions, or suggestions with the appropriate people or join us at the next Mission/ Outreach/ Nurture meeting in January, 2007.
