About Us :

We are people who are united in Christ, who gather regularly around the Word of God and the Sacraments to grow in the grace of God. We see things as Lutheran Christians and, accordingly, affirm the Lutheran Confessions. We are a part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the largest Lutheran body in the United States. Through the ELCA, our pastors are trained and we do most of our missions work. We are also a part of the Central/Southern Illinois Synod of the ELCA. We are located in Hartsburg IL , a town of about 350 in the midst of the fertile fields of central Illinois . Our pastor is the Rev. David Russell. We are assisted by other staff. Our congregational council, aided by several committees , gives oversight to all the work of our congregation.
