History:

The West Bloomfield Rotary Club began on March 11, 1998 and encompassed the communities of West Bloomfield, Orchard Lake, Keego Harbor and Sylan Lake.  Orginally the name for the club was the Greater West Bloomfield Rotary Club, and  sponsorship for our club was given by the Waterford Rotary Club. 

Charter Night was held on March 18, 1998 at the Shenandoah Country Club.  The main speaker for the even was Past President of Rotary International, Hugh C. Archer, a member of the Dearborn Rotary Club; and the Master of Ceremonies for the evening was R. Terry Youlton, District Governor from Ridgetown, Ontario.
