Rockingham County Gun Club

RCGC is situated on 85 acres. Club facilities include a centerfire rifle range with 20 benches, and target boards at 100 and 200 yards; a rimfire range with 10 benches, and target boards at 25 and 50 yards, and a rimfire pistol pit; a utility range with 25 and 50 yard target boards; three centerfire pistol-only ranges; 5 active trap fields; and three skeet fields. The cinder block building just inside the gate houses men’s and women’s restrooms and showers which are handicap accessible. The clubhouse, pictured above, was completed in 2014. It features a large meeting room, lounge, kitchen, restrooms, Board room and office. In addition, there is a large screened back porch overlooking the trap fields. Members are entitled to use the club facilities 365 days a year during daylight hours. A member’s spouse, dependents, and guests are welcome when accompanied by the member. RCGC is governed by a Board of Directors and Club Officers who are elected by the members to serve three year terms. The nine directors and four club officers comprise the Executive Board. This Club is a volunteer organization. Members are expected to contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities. 

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Rockingham County Gun Club is to foster the development of all shooting sports by providing opportunities for members and youth to receive shooting instruction; by providing a safe venue for shooting; by promoting organized shooting competitions; by promoting fellowship and good sportsmanship, and by providing opportunities for family activities, while keeping firearm safety paramount in the pursuit of all of these activities.
