In 2010, the Robinson Family Farm will offer a traditional Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscription for the first ten households that apply. We will pick, wash and bag vegetables, herbs and available fruit every week for our subscribers.

The produce will vary with the season and the weather, but there will be plenty of nutrient-dense, chemical-free produce popping with flavor. Our weekly shares include a dozen items that feed a family of four. Typically each share will include cooking greens, salad greens, a starch (squash, potatoes, sweet potatoes or beets), a seasonal favorite (tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, beans or cabbage), an herb, and maybe even onions or garlic. Fruit is occasionally offered as available. Substitutions cannot be made unless food allergies are noted on the CSA Commitment Form, available on our website.

When: We are offering two 8-week seasons. The seasons run from: Summer Season: Sunday July 4th - Saturday August 28th

Fall Season: Sunday September 5th - Saturday October 30th

How Much: We are offering 8-week subscriptions for $240.00 - $30 worth of vegetables, herbs and (if available) fruit per week. Each season has an extra week so that you can miss a week (for vacation, etc.) by letting us know. If you need to miss more than one week, please make arrangements for a friend to pick up your bag or we will donate it to a needy family.

Payments: can be made via cash, check, paypal or credit card. Mail checks to 647 Jones Mills Stahlstown Road, Stahsltown, PA 15687. Use [email protected] as the PayPal info, or call 724-613-1814 to pay by credit card. (That is my wife's business phone, it will be answered "Silverbear Graphics".) There will be an extra charge assessed for delivery if Robinson Family Farm delivers the food.

Where: The produce will be available for pickup at Robinson Family Farm on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.

The Robinson Family Farm, located near Donegal in Western Pennsylvania, was born as an outreach to share the surplus crops we had with our local community. We live by a lot of old axioms here, including "waste not, want not!" The land here has had no pesticides used on it in the last 15 years, and while we are not certified organic (the process is too expensive!) we can say that our produce is grown naturally, with no pesticides. We use only top quality Heirloom seeds - no genetically altered food here. We provide fresh, delicious, natural produce at an honest value for our local community.

Last year we had some of the best tomatoes in the region, and our cucumber pickles are still being talked about! We also had an abundance of squash, kale, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and more.
